Thank you from a patient from South Africa

In August 2024, we performed a mini-invasive correction of a bunion on a patient from South Africa. She was interested in performing the surgery mini-invasively and at the same time she could not find any European clinic where she could have the surgery performed under local anesthesia and with the use of absorbable screws. After a previous online consultation we scheduled an operation date here in the Czech Republic.

"I underwent bunion surgery (left foot) under the care of Dr. Holinka due to advanced deformity and severe pain. 
As I reside abroad the consultation took place online, which included preparation for the procedure. The surgery itself was painless (local numbing), and was conducted with the utmost professionalism. The doctor provided comprehensive explanations throughout the process, and his healthcare staff were exceptionally friendly. The recovery period was significantly shorter than with traditional invasive procedures. The first 3 days were bed rest, followed by 14 days of using crutches, and then 6 weeks in a medical boot. After 3 months, I was able to run 8 kilometers. Now, not even after a year, I am preparing for a half-marathon. I am very satisfied with the results and plan to undergo a corrective procedure on my other foot next year.
