The Overnight Surgery Centre in Orlová is the only facility in the Czech Republic specializing in aesthetic foot surgery under the leadership of Martin Holinka, M.D., Ph.D., Head of the Orthopaedic Department at Karviná-Ráj Hospital, we perform procedures focused on toe deformities, bunions, claw and hammer toe corrections, and arthrosis of the big toe.
Unlike conventional orthopaedic procedures, we emphasize the procedure's functional outcome, aesthetic result, and gentleness. Our minimally invasive techniques reduce soft tissue intervention and significantly shorten recovery times.
Advantages of Minimally Invasive Techniques:
- The operations are performed through punctures or minor millimetre-long surgical wounds.
- We use intradermal sutures that leave almost invisible scars.
- Gentle procedures minimize soft tissue damage and allow for faster healing.
These techniques allow us to not only correct bunions but also restore the transverse arch of the foot, which significantly relieves pain and reduces the risk of blisters on the sole of the foot, the inner side of the big toe, and between the toes.
Recovery:
- Minimally invasive surgeries reduce recovery times to 2–6 weeks (compared to 6–12 weeks with conventional methods).
- Certain procedures, such as toe joint release for arthritis, allow patients to return home without crutches immediately after surgery.
Martin Holinka, M.D., Ph.D., stated:
"For a long time, I have been looking for surgical techniques that combine superior functional results, fast postoperative recovery, and excellent aesthetic outcomes. Today, I can confidently say that our approach meets the highest standards of aesthetic surgery and is comparable to methods used in the most prestigious Western clinics."
